Try Test Call Before Leaving Malaysia

Once you’ve enabled Wi-Fi calling, connect to wifi & you will see the  VoWiFi   Icon appearing at the top signal bar of your smartphone.

Here is a screenshot from Huawei P30:

Hurray, that's it! we are ready to receive calls on VoWiFi but the question is how we know that our call is going through WiFi-Calling? to skip Roaming Cost. let me share the screenshot of the call I have received from Malaysia while I'm connected to the Pakistan Roaming Network of Telenor.

All the highlighted calls in the image above shows the  Wi-Fi  Icon, which means that I'm not being charged by carried (Digi). It’s possible this trick won’t work perfectly every time, but as long as you can verify Wi-Fi calling is working before you leave, it should “just work fine.”

Another screenshot of  Wi-Fi  Calling from Google Pixel Dialer shows the following symbol for WiFi Calling:

Keep in mind that any international numbers you call are also subject to Digi's international long-distance rates. So keep updated on Digi's International Call rates.

Connect to WiFi Hotspot

Most of the airports have free WiFi spots, and those spots fairly work great for WiFi calling, which does not need a lot of WiFi speed but does need a strong connection to the internet modem. Some WiFi hotspots will require you to sign in/create accounts and agree to their terms and conditions. Once you’re connected, your phone should automatically turn back into WiFi calling mode.

We will share another tutorial for Umobile & Hotlink/Maxis VoWiFi to help our readers to understand WiFi-Calling benefits while travelling abroad. peace & blessing bodies :)
